Micronised Biomass Silica (MBS) is an agricultural waste product which comprises of high content of silica. This study was conducted on the off-white amorphous biomass silica ash derived from the rice husk with pozzolanic index 69%. Various percentages of MBS ranging from 0% to 20% by mass have been used as cement replacement material. Compressive strength and water permeability of concrete with MBS incorporation were investigated.

Sodium lignosulfonate (lignosulfonic acid, sodium salt) is used in the food industry as a de-foaming agent for paper production and in adhesives for items that come in contact with food. It has preservative properties, and is used as an ingredient in animal feeds.

1.Sodium Lignosulfonate uses as superplasticizer dosage of cement content 0.20-0.30%, commonly used dosage is 0.25% water reduction of up to 9-11%. In the appropriate dosage when compared with the reference concrete strength increased by 15-20% 3 days, 7 days strength increased 20-30%, 28 days by 15-20%, long-term strength also increased.

2.Without changing the water in the case of concrete( suggested ratio 0.65)1to increase the flow of concrete, improved work-ability.

3.In keeping concrete slump, the same intensity and the reference concrete, cement can save 8-10%, the use of one ton of  Lignosulfonate superplasticizer powder, can save 30-40 tons of cement.
