Brief Uses and Applications of Aerosol 200 Fumed Silica (Grade – NV/200) in FRP / Composite Industry:

Aerosol 200 Fumed Silica (NV/200) is a high-purity, amorphous, hydrophilic fumed silica with a very high specific surface area. In the FRP (Fibre-Reinforced Plastic) / Composite industry, it plays a multifunctional role in improving product performance and processing efficiency.

1. Rheology Control / Thixotropy Agent:

   • Enhances viscosity and provides thixotropic properties in unsaturated polyester, epoxy, and vinyl ester resin systems.

   • Prevents resin sagging and settling during application, especially in vertical or overhead surfaces.

2. Anti-Sagging and Anti-Settling Agent:

   • Prevents filler and pigment sedimentation in composite pastes, ensuring uniform consistency.

3. Reinforcing Agent:
